Crafting Summary

See the Materials List for weights. See the Crafting Tools List for tools.

Gathering vs Finishing: A gathering craft is a craft that collects material. A finishing craft is a craft that creates an item that can be detailed. This is significant because of “effective mastery”. Effective mastery is the point where you can gather or create material or objects of any practical level, including spec (+30%) and craft aptitude (10%) bonuses where applicable.

Effective mastery: Finishing:91%, Gathering:100%. Woodworking is classified as a “gathering” craft because it is both, and gathering has the higher percentage required.

Level 60: alchemy

Syntax: alchemy '<spell name>' <herbs> <item type> <item level> <spell level> (parameter)
Note: You can create items 5 levels below the spell. eg, Refresh crit is level 23, so a pill could be level 18.

Item type: potion, pill, or salve

Parameter: Optional modifiers needed for some spells. Eg, for a cure disease salve, you'd need to add which plague to cure. So the parameter would be “self plague”

Example: alchemy 'cure disease' herbs salve 11 11 self plague
- Will create a level 11 salve that will cast level 11 'cure disease' self plague.

Note: Pills are unique because you can feed them to pets, or even creatures that you have subdued and bound.

Leather from corpses: Tiny:1u, Small:3u, Medium:6u, Large:10u, Huge:13u, Giant:16u

It's a great idea to get friends in leveling and questing groups to collect skins for you. It costs them very little in time and effort, they just have to turn off auto sac and type “skin corpse” after things die (no skill needed to skin). If you pay them for the skins, they're likely to be even more motivated.

Warning: Casting “lighten” on skins or furs will decrease the amount of material that you can extract from them. The amount of material taken is derived from weight.

Level: 58 write

Syntax: Write <paper> '<spell>' '<spell>' '<spell>' <item lev> <spell lev> <charges>

Note: You can create items 5 levels below the spell. eg, Identify is level 24, so the scroll could be level 19.
Note: There can be three different spells on one scroll. To leave a spell slot blank, use 'none'.
Max charges: Scroll (20)

Example: write 'paper material' 'ice shard' 'colour spray' fireball 30 11 20
- This creates a scroll with a total of twenty charges that could be used to cast any of three offensive spells, or all three at once.
Example: write 'paper material' heal bless sanc 70 51 20
- This creates a scroll with a total of twenty charges that could be used to cast either heal, bless, or sac, or all of them at once.
Example: write paper identify none none 19 1 19
- This creates a scroll with 19 charges that can only be used to cast level 1 identify.

Note: Scrolls are unique because they can be used to cast 3 spells at once.
