RELIGION IN THE WORLD OF LENSMOOR

Within the world of Lensmoor, there was once a singular pantheon of Deities that were worshipped. Their arrival was heralded by the prophet Keirien. For centuries, they oversaw mortals on the continents of Lensmoor, Antrippa and Griftmire. As mortals built civilizations, and those civilizations crumbled, the pantheon they worshipped shifted. Different things held value to them. This cycle continued unhindered until events which sundered the pantheon in half.

At the time of the sundering, the only civilizations left in the world existed on Lensmoor and Antrippa. Gods which had been worshipped in cults and sects on Antrippa suddenly became their own Pantheon. The original Deities were left as a Lensmoorian-only Pantheon. The skies remained divided for centuries afterwards.

In these centuries, the cycle of civilization continued but in a more localized fashioned. No longer were Pantheons developing in the same way as they had in the past, as aspects waxed and waned at different intervals of importance. Pantheons developed their own cultures within themselves. Each became robust and brilliant in their own unique ways.

But there is no force strong enough to permanently separate the heavens, especially aided by the curiousity of mortals. Even divided, certain aspects of civilization remain the same. Various forms of good, neutral, evil and chaos called across to mortals of the other continent. Finally, the veil in the heavens fell completely.

Though mortals could now freely join either pantheon, the Deities themselves found that they were still drawn to Their Kin that were developed in the separated heavens. Thus the pantheon remains divided into Antrippan and Lensmoorian deities, representative of the rich and unique history out of which the world was breathed.
